Daisuke Matsuzaka, Yu Darvish, and Hisashi Iwakuma were impressive against live hitters while working out in preparation for the World Baseball Classic.
Darvish allowed one hit while striking out two, throwing 31 pitches against nine batters.

Yu Darvish threw 125 pitches, then pronounced “I feel like I am already at the level of about halfway through spring training or almost where I would be at the end”.
Darvish arrived at camp on January 28th, ahead of his teammates, to begin preparations for the World Baseball Classic in March.
