Japan lost to the Republic of Korea 6-2 on Friday, August 22 on an 8th-inning rally by the Koreans. Japan will face the United States on Saturday in a game to determine who will get the Olympic bronze medal. Korea will take on the heavily-favored Cuba for the gold medal.
